My Newest Skincare Regimine

A lot of you ladies have asked me about my skin regimine lately. I usually use Skinceuticals line of products, introduced to me by my great friend Trish Sgobba, a skincare expert who runs her own skincare blog, but lately I had another friend of mine ask to me to try a new line of skincare.

Growing up, I was one of those girls who sunbathed on a regular basis. I did not dare use one drop of sunscreen either.

As I am approaching my late twenties, I am starting to see the effects from all of those years of neglect.

Sun spots..
Skin dryness..
Dullness..
Wrinkles..

It is only now that I have decided to take full responsibility and care of my skin. I had a friend named Alicia who told me to try a line of skincare products called Rodan + Fields. This brand also makes the line called Proactiv.

Due to my skin symptoms, I was sent the Redefine Kit to try out. I also chose this kit due to the safer breastfeeding and pregnancy ingredients that it has inside, compared to the other kits they offer.

The kit features a daily cleansing clay mask, a pore minimizing toner, a day cream filled with an SPF of 30, and a restorative night cream to work on those deep wrinkles.

The first step was to use the Redefine Daily Cleansing Mask. This creamy, kaolin clay-based cleansing mask dries in two minutes, drawing impurities from pores without robbing skin of essential moisture. Fine dimethicone microbeads gently exfoliate to smoothe the skin without disrupting skin’s delicate moisture barrier.

After a few days of using this mask, I noticed that my face was a lot smoother-probably due to the exfoliating properties.

Step two is the Redefine Pore Minimizing Toner which minimizes the appearance of big pores that stick out like a sore thumb (which I have). You use a gauze pad or a cotton ball to apply a thin layer over your face. Let dry.

Gentle polyhydroxy acids exfoliate pore clogging dead skin cells while natural oligosaccharides help reduce the appearance of pores and prepares skin for the treatments that follow.

The third step is the Redefine Triple Defense Day Cream that has a sunscreen of SPF 30 built into it. This moisturizing treatment contains a clinically proven concentration of powerful peptides to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles and visibly firm skin. SHIELDrf provides effective broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection and visibly decelerates the signs of photoaging that appear over time.

The cream went on very smoothly and blended in without my face feeling too greasy or oily. I used this step right before applying my foundation.

For the last step, at night, you will repeat the whole process, but you'll switch out the day cream for the night cream instead!

The Redefine Overnight Restorative Cream is an ultra-hydrating cream which replenishes skin’s natural moisturizing factors (NMFs) while you sleep for visibly firmer, less-lined skin in the morning. Moisture recycling complex of hyaluronic acid and glycerin prevent moisture loss while 12-hour, time-released antioxidants A, C and E replenish vital skin nutrients

Overall, I was very impressed with my results, as you can see below. I am one of those types who neglected their skin as a teen so it feels SO good to finally repair and reverse some of the damage and aging!

Within 2 weeks, I had a significant reduction in wrinkles (specifically on my forehead) and a huge change in my skin's overall texture.

I hope to combine or alternate this regimine with my Skinceuticals products for the future! And in case you are wondering, they do have a line for acne, aging spots/discolotation, and even a line for those of you who suffer from skin redness or flushing.
